Ravish Kumar, also known as Ravish Kumar Pandey, is an Indian journalist, author, and media personality who was born on December 5, 1974. He is NDTV India's Senior Executive Editor. He hosts a variety of shows for the channel, including Prime Time, Hum Log, Ravish Ki Study, and Des Ki Baat on weekdays.
He received the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award for Best Journalist of the Year on two occasions, and in 2019, he became the fifth Indian journalist to win the Ramon Magsaysay Award.
Kumar has received several awards for his journalism work, the most prestigious of which is the Ramon Magsaysay Award (2019). He has won the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award twice (in 2017 and 2013) in the Hindi language broadcast category. Gauri Lankesh Award for Journalism, first Kuldip Nayar Journalism Award (2017), Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Hindi Journalism, and Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Creative Literature round out the list (for 2010, awarded in 2014). He was elected journalist of the year by the Mumbai Press Club and included in The Indian Express's list of the 100 most influential Indians in 2016.
